Job Responsibilities:

Scalo Solar Solutions is looking for a skilled Foreperson to lead a solar crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of photovoltaic solar systems. The Foreperson will oversee the installation of racking, panels, and electrical components, ensuring efficient operations on commercial solar projects. Key responsibilities include managing crew tasks, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew to install, maintain, & repair the racking, panels, & stand offs for photovoltaic solar systems on commercial and/or residential properties.
  • Lead a crew to install, maintain, & repair the mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules & electrical equipment
  • String configuration for solar arrays & run electrical DC wires to inverters
  • Manage job sites, equipment, and materials
  • Enforce safety regulations with everyone on a job site, including crew, visitors, and customers
  • Troubleshoot and repair any electrical driven equipment associated with Solar Roofing Systems
  • Record work performed daily
  • Communicate regularly with your supervisor regarding work and personnel issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience working on roofs
  • At least 1 year of experience working on projects in the solar industry
  • Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling & squatting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: heat, snow, rain, wind, etc.)
  • Willingness & capability to climb ladders, stairs, & work on rooftops
  • Ability to lift, pull, & push materials & equipment to complete assigned job tasks
  • Capability to lift 60 lbs. of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
  • Valid Driver’s License and permissible background check including driving record and clean drug test
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain OSHA 30 certification

Preferred:

  • NABCEP Associate or PV Installation certification is a strong plus
  • Prior commercial solar experience is preferred
  • Electrical construction experience is a plus
